:) Yep, I often see people say they'll never use that math, and some say they never have used it in their adult life, but you never know.. I doubt it would be better to get into a job or career where you might need it and only just start to learn it at that point.

Math can also be a head fake in learning logic and learning how to learn.

I agree - EXCEPT - using 'speech to text' to ME is easier on a
    phone. :-)

Not if your writing a program. Trust me, I've tried.

I think I have a dumb blonde model. <G> It's like "auto correct
and auto complete have become my own worst enema". <G>

I'm trying to imagine controlling vi with speech to text.

Heh, I have enough trouble using Vi with my fingers. Notepad++ is my editor of choice.

Have you tried Sublime editor? They try to sell you a paid one, but there's a free version.

Also Geany is decent in Linux.

I like an editor called AkelPad, but for some reason when I install it
at work it makes CrowdStrike go crazy. My infosec team would quarantine
my laptop, I'd get a call from them, they'd look at it, OK it and let me
back on the network. Never bothered to whitelist it, though. :(

It's clean looking but has inline line numbers, which I like. It can do multiple tabs as well. The new Windows 11 Notepad probably does
    everything I need now.
