Is there a chance that a different key could be assigned to the password
field. That way when alt-L enters the user field but fails to send the
password, the password can be sent by another Alt+(letter) command?
I didn't know about this Alt-L feature, but if you configure an entry in your BBS list with RLogin or SSH, you can put your login credentials in there. I'm not sure why there would need to be a separate hotkey (Alt-L) for that. Unless I'm misudnerstanding something.
