There's a silent movie called Dancing Mothers from 1926
and it has a pirate themed restaurant, with pirate flags,
rigging, waiters threatening diners with swords, and holding
diners at gunpoint and passing menus that are printed on
scrolls, etc. Reminds me of Jebediah Springfield, the
pirate, and they certainly wouldn't have such shenanigans at
Long John Silvers.

the movie itself is a typical twenties movie about
infidelities, with a sad ending, but the pirate restaurant
bit at the beginning is a highlight.
