Boeing Business Jets (BBJ), the business jet division of American aircraft manufacturer Boeing, offers customers the opportunity to convert a used Boeing 747-8 into an ultra-luxury VIP aircraft. The company handles the entire process: from procurement to design, cabin construction, delivery, and maintenance.

The Boeing 747-8 can seat up to 75 passengers in VIP configuration. On board, there is 465 square meters of cabin space. Its flight range is approximately 15,700 kilometers, enabling nonstop connections between New York and Bangkok, for example.

"The 747-8 remains a premium VIP and state aircraft, and discerning customers are interested in continuing this tradition of excellence in private travel," said Joe Benson, president of Boeing Business Jets. "We are delighted to continue this legacy with the Boeing-backed 747-8 VIP, which offers a personalized and exceptional flying experience."

Although production of the 747-8 officially ended in 2023, the aircraft remains active in various roles. Lufthansa, Korean Air, and Air China still operate the 747-8 for scheduled passenger flights, while freighters such as UPS, Atlas Air, Cathay Cargo, and Cargolux use it for cargo operations.

Several government leaders also fly this aircraft. These include the heads of state of Morocco, Oman, and Turkey. US President Donald Trump is also currently having a 747-8 donated by Qatar converted into his future temporary Air Force One. Two other aircraft are currently being modified to eventually assume this role permanently.
