    LOL. This article is a perfect example of why you should always use plantext BEFORE using an acronym. I thought they were making a police joke with the "safer than ICE cars..."

    It was not until the second use of ICE that they spelling out Internal Combustion Engine / ICE... :)

    ICE is an acronym that I am familiar with, but that they didn't start using until pretty recently and, yes, it confuses me every time I see it, too.

    It is a good example of why you should always use the term first, and draw
    the association to the acronym, before continuing to use it.

    That's a rule I stick to in business communications - there are so many
    acronyms in business speak that it can get overwhelming.

    I remember speaking with recruiters during a job search who were
    acronym-heavy to unaware candidates. Their lack of awareness made me
    wonder what else they were missing in their interactions with
    candidates.
