Title: Pan Seared Breakfast Mushrooms

Yield: 4 Servings
1 tb Neutral vegetable oil
2 lg Portobello mushroom caps;
- gills scraped out
2 tb Tamari; low-sodium
2 tb Maple syrup
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the
mushrooms and sear until well browned on the outside and slightly
softened on the inside, about 5 minutes, turning once. Add the tamari
and maple syrup and cook, turning to coat, until the mushrooms are
glazed, about 5 minutes. Serve the mushrooms whole or sliced.
These mushrooms are terrific served whole and stuffed with skillet
vegetable hash or your favorite vegan scramble. Alternatively, the
mushrooms may be cut into 1/4" slices and fanned out on the plate.
