Postscript... since originally writing this, my mom fell and broke her
hip... on the 22nd... she's doing pretty well recovering from that,
though... we brought her back home (to my sister's) yesterday, and I'm
finally able to get back to Fido, at least a little... It does mean
that she won't be going camping with the family, though... since sites
and cabins are already rented, most of us will still go camping
    anyway... neb

Sorry to hear that about your Mom, Nancy. My Mom (who will be 89
this fall) is still doing pretty good...although I do most all the
driving for her now...as well as helping with the shopping. That's especially true in getting the groceries off the shelf into the cart,
as it's hard for her to reach them.

Mommy's been somewhat frail ever since the last days of caring for
Daddy, who had Parkinson's... My sister moved them to her house, and
built an in-law apartment on her house for them, so that they could help
take care of Daddy. Now Mommy still lives there. :) And Lydia takes
care of her still... including doing the grocery shopping, and fixing
most of her meals... :) Up until the last couple of months, though,
she'd been pretty active, though not driving... I do some of that for
    her, Lydia does as well...

One funny moment a couple of weeks ago, came on a trip to the store.
We had filled up the grocery cart with a bunch of items, and hadn't
yet gotten a single item that was on our grocery list. LOL

Sounds like both of you are prone to impulse buying... :)

I think most of us are in one way or another.

They do say "don't shop hungry", but sometimes, I wonder if that's a
    valid statement. :P

That is a very valid statement. I admit that I'm an impulse buyer though I never regret it though :)

I think most people would admit that they're an impulse buyer. You see something good, thinking you need it (never mind wanting it)...so, you
buy it. When you get home, you discover you already had one or more of
    the item. :P
