    You can ask your provider.
And no i'm not bullying you.

it's just your registration details are hidden from the whois for privacy reasons you need to pay extra, for this.
but I think this is now the standard procedure for the whois lookups.

but you must know this because you worked for RTT (Belgacom).

I lost sleep because of the madhouse that started after she passed.

Since you asked I tried ftp to the link in the nodelist. ;-)

First: IPv6 isn't working. Probably because your (ancient) ftp software doesn't support it, so it takes a while (like 5 minutes) to first timeout on IPv6 and then get an IPv4 connect. So for ftp you should use a different host name that doesn't resolve to an IPv6 address! And maybe this is the case for your http server too?

    # ftp many-glacier.dyndns.org
    Trying 2a02:a03f:83a9:c400:4df3:890a:8ec1:7cc0:21 ...
ftp: Can't connect to `2a02:a03f:83a9:c400:4df3:890a:8ec1:7cc0:21': Connection timed out
    Trying 91.179.8.125:21 ...
    Connected to many-glacier.dyndns.org.
    220 Xitami FTP 2.4d9 (c) 1991-98 iMatix <http://www.imatix.com>
    Name (many-glacier.dyndns.org:root):

'anonymous' login works, but after that things get difficult:

    ls
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection.

And that is the response I get to every command I tried...

So although, as Bart claims, your ftp server is not offline, but it's not usable imho... On the other hand your http server works fine, and is much more convenient to get the nodelist (and other files)...

    Bye, Wilfred.

Since you asked I tried ftp to the link in the nodelist. ;-)

First: IPv6 isn't working. Probably because your (ancient) ftp software doesn't support it, so it takes a while (like 5 minutes) to first
timeout on IPv6 and then get an IPv4 connect. So for ftp you should use
a different host name that doesn't resolve to an IPv6 address! And maybe this is the case for your http server too?

    # ftp many-glacier.dyndns.org
    Trying 2a02:a03f:83a9:c400:4df3:890a:8ec1:7cc0:21 ... ftp: Can't connect to `2a02:a03f:83a9:c400:4df3:890a:8ec1:7cc0:21': Connection timed out Trying 91.179.8.125:21 ...

    220 Xitami FTP 2.4d9 (c) 1991-98 iMatix <http://www.imatix.com> Name (many-glacier.dyndns.org:root):

'anonymous' login works, but after that things get difficult:

    ls
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection.

And that is the response I get to every command I tried...

So although, as Bart claims, your ftp server is not offline, but it's
not usable imho... On the other hand your http server works fine, and is much more convenient to get the nodelist (and other files)...

very accurate description of the problem Wilfred.
if he forces to bind the ftp serer to ipv4 the problem should be solved I think.
    or rent a webhosting.

    forgot the whole P4?

This simply called keeping up with the new technolog's.

we should not expect that there will ever be an update on new technologies in the P4.
