"We are not political players", says the highest justice in the US. But meanwhile, they clearly are!

Corruption, bribery, a clear series of decisions that seamlessly follow the Republican line and, in every respect, almost always benefit the political parties wealthiest donors.

The current Supreme Court justices are primarily political animals who interpret the law time and again to turn out as favorably as possible for Trump.

Of course, there have also been a few decisions that went against Trump. But when it comes to the truly important matters, Trump and/or his wealthy donors could count on the Supreme Court justices time and again. Think of the decision on abortion, think of the president's immunity. Think of the return of import tariffs. A decision against Trump, but in favor of his wealthy friends. Matters that really matter, and without shame they disregard decades of rulings and set a new course, and that is favorable to Trump and/or his billionaire friends time and again. Any self-reflection is alien to the judges, and Roberts is no exception.

All the flaws in the American system have become clear in recent years, and allowing presidents to appoint the highest justices for life is one of those flaws.

The case regarding whether Trump must actually pay 83 million in compensation to one of his victims will come before the court soon. In the meantime, Trump has stopped preparing the payment, because he expects the judges to relieve him of that burden. Of course he expects that. He is putting maximum pressure on them. Independent and apolitical judiciary in the US... No, that is a thing of the past. Even the political players no longer believe in it. The judges themselves are living in a dream world. That raises questions about their competence.
