• Michelle Obama Takes Action

From Joseph Pereira@1:124/5016 to All on Fri Jun 26 06:07:39 2026

Following the wrestling event on the White House lawn, the winning wrestler Josh Hokit made a remarkable and unfounded statement. Completely out of the blue, he claimed that Michelle Obama was a man.

Public figures must be able to tolerate more criticism than the average citizen, but there are limits to that as well. Spreading such accusations without any substantiation can have far-reaching consequences. Josh Hokit appears to have crossed that line by a wide margin.

In response, Michelle Obama has taken three steps.

First, she has requested that the organizing organization, UFC, take measures against Hokit. Should the organization refuse to act, she is reportedly considering legal action against the organization as well. Moreover, for Hokit, a dismissal would represent a significant financial loss.

Additionally, she has sued Hokit personally for defamation. If the judge rules in her favor, this could lead to substantial damages.

Finally, she has demanded that Hokit publicly apologize. Personally, I think it is good that she is resisting these kinds of unfounded accusations. In recent years, there seems to be less and less restraint in spreading rumors and slander. If the judge rules that this indeed constitutes defamation, then it is right that clear consequences are attached to it. That would send an important signal that public figures are not fair game either.

    Oh boy~

    More political theater..

It would have been better if Michelle Obama had just ignored it.

First, it is an absurd statement, and brings more attention by acknowledging it. Second defamation will be hard to prove. I do not know what tangible financial damage can be claimed by saying someone is one gender or other. In fact i could be argued that one might be able to turn this into something that they would be able to gain financially.

Lastly, feelings need to stay the hell away from the freedom of speech. More and more societies are limmiting or squashing free speech and free expression to pander to peoples feelings. I am tired of hearing, "Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.." That is EXACTLY what is means, and running to the courthouse because you don't like someones words is allowing the government to have the final say in what is acceptable speech.

She won't sue... a couple reasons... and 1 big one... IN THE US... She'll have to prove a loss... and the BIG ONE... she'll have to prove him wrong... a DNA test will settle all this...

    GBG!!!!

Recall the French president's Husband sent papers to Candice Owens about her saying that the French President was married to a dude... and we don't hear any more about it...

See above... They/Them, in the US, would have to prove/show damages and also that she's not s dude... XY Chromosome and a c*ck is a great indication that she's not female.
