• Daily Statistics Reset

From Jamaica Joe@1:103/705 to All on Wed Aug 27 07:21:56 2025
    Hi all,

I noticed on my statistics that they don't reset daily and they are the same values as the lifetime values (total calls, time on, etc). I searched through to see if there was some nightly event I'm not running, or if there's a setting I didn't flip but I'm having zero success.

Has anyone encountered this and any tips on getting the daily numbers to reset?

    Thanks.

    Joe

There was a recent discussion here where a sysop was having issue with their logon lists and stats not resetting/rolling-over daily (search for "dsts") - and I think they fixed it by updating to the latest release of Synchronet (v3.20b). The file of interest (in Synchronet v3.20b) is ctrl/dsts.ini.

Thanks for the tip. I am running the latest version of Synchronet and was the only version I've ever installed. What I found in the DSTS.INI file was the top line had an entry of date=never. I changed "never" to yesterday's date, a few minutes later the file already changed to today's date and the statistics all reset for the current day.

Interesting. That should normally be necessary to do.

Yup: should *not* normally be necessary to do. :-)
