• Android Tablet's

    Howdy!,

I still have been thinking about buying a Android Tablet.

From my experience playing with Chromebook pc's when I'm in the
Electronics section of a Store, I am thinking I would have to
create a Google Email Account after I got a Tablet.

I'm NOT wanting to Sign Up for a second Internet Account, just for the
Tablet, and have been wondering if I could download Programs (Apps) from Google's website from this computer and put them on the Tablet with a
    USB Cable?

Would I be able to use the Tablet to connect to my DSL Account with AT&T somehow?

I'm NOT wanting to use the Tablet for a Telephone either, because I can use
my Go Phone if I want to talk with someone.
I don't use the Go Phone for TEXT or DATA, only as a telephone when I'm out
    of the house.

    Thanks!

I still have been thinking about buying a Android Tablet.

i have one... they're nice for what they can do... i prefer mine over my chromebook but both have their places... especially since the chromebook has an
    actual keyboard...

From my experience playing with Chromebook pc's when I'm in the Electronics section of a Store, I am thinking I would have to
create a Google Email Account after I got a Tablet.

if you already have a google account, you can just use it... i use the same one
    for all my devices...

I'm NOT wanting to Sign Up for a second Internet Account, just for the Tablet, and have been wondering if I could download Programs (Apps) from Google's website from this computer and put them on the Tablet with a
    USB Cable?

no... let the tablet use wifi or cell data (if it has it) to get its updates and apps... you're also not signing up for a second internet account... it isn't like that... you likely already have an account with an ISP so signing up
with google or any other similar service is simply that with the added features
of another email address and whatever else...

Would I be able to use the Tablet to connect to my DSL Account with AT&T
    somehow?

you'll use wifi for that and likely be connecting to your router if it has wifi... otherwise you'll have to get an access point... wireless routers can be
browbeaten into acting as access points by connecting them to your LAN via one of their ports instead of using the WAN port... but you can use the WAN port so
the wifi router would separate your wireless LAN from your wired LAN... it depends on what your needs are...

I'm NOT wanting to use the Tablet for a Telephone either, because I can use my Go Phone if I want to talk with someone.
I don't use the Go Phone for TEXT or DATA, only as a telephone when I'm out of the house.

you'll need cell data on some device if you want to use the tablet or chromebook while out and about without having to stop somewhere... i use the wifi hotspot on my iphone to connect my tablet and chromebook to the 'net when i'm out... it uses my cell data on my phone... this because neither of my tablet or chromebook have cell data capabilities...

if you get a tablet with cell data capabilities, you'll have to have a cell account for it and that account will have to have cell data... you don't have to use the phone portion if you don't want to... tablets are a little big to be
trying to use like a phone to your ear... they're generally used with headphones or earbuds and like a video phone with or without the video depending on things...
