  • BinkP Error: Password mis

    Howdy,
    I do not know much about setting up Winpoint, had it running before but had to reinstall it (again).
    Now I get the following message using Winpoint 415.0:

    26.04.25 18:09:17 RAKA 21:1/183 - Nothing to send
    26.04.25 18:09:17 RAKA 46:10/139 - Nothing to send
    26.04.25 18:09:17 BERR BinkP Error: Password mismatch
    26.04.25 18:09:17 DISG Disconnecting

    I contacted the sysop and he says that I have to set the Password for BinkP and that is all what is needed.
    In WinPoint -> Options->Uplinks(selected BBS)->Properties
    I do not see any field to enter the BinkP password.

    Also, ther message ..Sending 329 stays in the Outbound section. Guess that is because of the password mismatch.
    ANy help is appreciated.

    Vielen Dank fuer die Info.
    I put the Password into the Session field but still get the error. I guess my
    next step is to contact the sysop again.
    Maybe I just dump Winpoint and look for a Linux reader. Don't like Windows that much anyway.

    Thanks for the info. I put the password just where you pointed to but still get the error. I have to contact the Sysop again and maybe dump Winpoint and get me
    a Linux offline reader. Any suggestion?

    Check you are entering the password the same as your link.

    Session passwords are case sensitive, password is not the same as PASSWORD.

    Yepp, just like the sysop emailed me.

    Still BinkP error. I guess I uninstall WinPoint and do a fresh reinstall
