• SBBS Font Viewer?

    Hello!

I'm having fun playing around with the different fonts found in SBBS. I also recently installed the LORD2 font file in SBBS which allowed me to use it in my LORD2 CNW door game.

Just wondering though, is there an existing "font viewer" app available that I can use so I can just browse through the fonts and see how it looks like, rather than me trying them out on my bbs manually everytime?

    Thanks!

    -WangBu

    There's exec/fonttest.js, included with Synchronet, which requires a font-capable terminal (e.g. SyncTERM).

For running locally (no terminal needed), there's programs like this one: https://int10h.org/blog/2019/05/fontraption-vga-text-mode-font-editor/

Thanks for this! I'll take a look at the fonttest.js, since I have SyncTERM installed.

ah yeah on that website he mentions the program i used to use. the font edit from pcmag.

Thanks... I tried the fonttest.js found in Synchronet, but it seems I can only view the built-in fonts plus 4 loadable fonts based on the active settings in my BBS.
I will also try the offline viewer.

    Regards,
    WangBu

To use fonttest.js to test file *files* you have to pass the path to the files you want to test/view (e.g. /sbbs/ctrl/fonts/*.f*) on the fonttest command-line.

    e.g. ;exec ?fonttest fonts/*.f*
