It seems that Ubuntu upgrade has been simplified and people can simply
install like normal "upgrades" according to Ubuntu Wiki.

I have prepared a Flash Drive with Ubuntu 22.04.4 and upgrade this when
the official release comes out. I know it is very slow to run from a
flash drive but it is a test system. DON'T USE RUFUS to create a
persistent drive because it will destroy your hard disk. Instead just "Install" in the normal way from a Ventoy live ISO on to a flash drive
but first disconnect the hard disks so that nothing gets written to it. Persistent Disk method has never worked for me so I gave up on it.
