    A new XPCE configuration (swipl |- edit(file).) has wide fonts, how do I configure it for normal western fixed-width font rendering?


    By wide font I mean each character is displayed with empty space enough
    for two whole characters to the right before the next character,
    essentially every character is square, almost as if I need space for
    square idiographic characters in my fixed-width file rendering.
