• Can't start wish

I usually start wish from a shortcut on my desktop, which is configured
to load tkcon. I have been using this setup for the past 4 years or so.

After a few weeks of away time, today I double clicked on my shortcut to
open wish again. It took several seconds whereas it had always been instantaneous before. Curious, I opened and closed it a few times and
now I am getting a Windows error. The dialog window is titled "Fatal
Error" and the message says "unable to allow 999999999 bytes", and yes,
that is a 9 digit number. So now I can't open my shortcut.

For comparison, I can open the plain wish just fine, with no delays, and
then load tkcon, which is fine as well.

Apart from several forced Windows updates, I don't recall doing anything
to the installation in months. Any idea what is happening? This is on a Windows 11 pc with plenty of memory sitting idle.

Following up on my message, I saw a tkcon.hst file that has grown tremendously. I seems like it has been corrupted. I deleted it and now
things are back to normal :-)
