I missed Linux 6.16.6, just upgraded to 6.16.7.

    $ uname -a
    Linux lm 6.16.7 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Sep 11 22:34:24 PDT 2025
    x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    $ tail -3 linux-6.16.7/nohup.out
    real 409.68
    user 19130.53
    sys 3874.71

    It has this mitigation:

    config MITIGATION_VMSCAPE
    bool "Mitigate VMSCAPE"
    depends on KVM
    default y
    help
Enable mitigation for VMSCAPE attacks. VMSCAPE is a hardware security
vulnerability on Intel and AMD CPUs that may allow a guest to do
Spectre v2 style attacks on userspace hypervisor.

You're on the hit list now, mf.

Ha, ha, ha, ha! Virtual machines are for virtual users
    and their virtual brains.

For REAL MEN, computing is not just another activity.
It is a religion and a way of life.

Can someone translate this to English for me?

And that proves, once again, in only one sentence, how you are far from
    the computer world.

For REAL MEN, computing is not just another activity.
It is a religion and a way of life.

I'm speaking about computers in the Linux and in the real world here.
Not about the size of your dick, which, by the way, I really don't care.
By now, nobody is using his own computer to do real work anymore. The
need to use other computers and the cloud to get more power is real.
Your only purpose in life being able to compile the Linux kernel on the
brick which is what you call your computer, you can't understand that.

But in the real world for real computer scientists, real developers and
real programmers , virtual machine are unavoidable. You can stand in the
past as long as you want. But refusing the reality of the present will
only make you pass for a full.

    In some situations, perhaps.

But in a tremendously large number of cases the personal computer
    remains the ideal solution.

Most users, however, are, like you, uninformed and stupid. They
actually believe the bullshit that is being pushed onto them by
the commercial sales forces. They are duped into believing that
they require the "cloud" and AI.

With my GNU/Linux Xeon workstations I can rival the supercomputer.

With your piddling GNU/Linux distro you can barely muster "Hello World!"

    Ha, ha, ha!
