    Hello!

I just have read article under title "We can't advocate for freedom
without your [financial - added by JMJ] help", by Greg Farough, pub. 2025-12-19, fri., URL:

    <http://www.fsf.org/blogs/community/we-cant-advocate-for-freedom-without-your-help>

FSF is totally stupid for me because they praise "free software for no
cost for everyone", but they beg users for more donations. So this is
obvious that they have contradictory business model in they broken left
minds. There is not possible give all valuable soft for no cost to every
one and expect reasonable amount of money! If they beg for donations,
then FSF expect people should pay for FSF soft. So they business model
is stupid and broken by design.
I wrote to fsf.poland@tuta.io and to info@fsf.org, in 2023-01-18, mon., article under title "Reform Of Free Software Model", the main idea was
that only learning children and students should be allowed to access
software "at no cost" and any other people should pay. Indeed article
was in polish, but there is FSF Poland and I expect they can translate
this article and forward that translation to other countries. But they
do not even answer for it! This article, in Polish, is still available
on my WWW site, under URL:

    <https://energokod.gda.pl/monografie/Reforma%20Modelu%20Biznesowego%20Wolnego%20Oprogramowania.pdf>

Note: FSF is even more stupid than above, because they have many other
ways to earn for living earning on FSF software: they are very skilled
green bread, so they can earn by teaching Linux fanboyz - they can sold colourful magazine with useful articles, they can write good books about
smart using FSF software. They can make their own FSF Linux distro and
earn money for some additional services: like remote package repository, translations and localisation for other countries, special editions for
small business servers, special edition for WWW hosting services,
special edition for cloud computing. They even can earn by programming
new features in FSF programs requested and crowd founded by users.

Note: I regularly pay donations to Cannonical, how much I can afford,
because I am satisfied with its Kubuntu OS and its remote package
repository service. And I am avoid any other soft.

Note: I also regularly pay donations to WWW information services. And I
am avoid any other WWW sites.

Ordinarily I'd just let it slide, but as a dues-paying member
of the FSF, I need to point something out:

They have to defend the Copyleft.

They have to keep their servers running to host the software,
and their servers are a single-point-of-truth for the software
in their purview. (Thankfully, there are a lot of mirrors, but
all road lead back to gnu.org.)

Have you looked at all the software under the FSF umbrella?

    https://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Main_Page

Finally, I can't tell if your article is just a troll, or
misguided. GNU is important, and the FSF is important.
If you don't like it -- fine, don't use it!

Let me the other way to explain it: If my above sentence is not true,
then why FSF beg regularly (I subscribe they RSS chanells) they users
for more and more donations? It is clear to me, that FSF haven't any reasonable income for soft they code and share. Why? Because they have
stupid and contradictory business model. FSF brutally violate all main economics law: 1) earn for living, 2) earn for amortisation, 3) make
clean profit in order for further investment. It is easy for me, like
    "piece of cake".

To claim that a business model that has produced and made-available
tremendous amounts of useful, high-quality software at very low cost
"stupid and broken by design" only shows that your brain is stupid and
    broken by design.

FOSS is *not* about "free software for no cost for everyone" so your
    tirade fails, right there.

The FOSS paradigm is efficient enough to provide a lot of high quality
software at no cost to end users, but people who want something done
should still expect to pay. If it's something that you or our company
must have, programmers will need to be hired. If it's only desire to
see useful software continue to be maintained and improved, the
    donation model works well.

Like vallor said, if you don't like it, don't use it. No one needs to
use it, or produce it, or donate to it. No one has any right to
    complain.
