Some OpenGL software does not perform anti-aliasing on graphic
output and the result can be annoying. Sharp lines and edges
can exhibit the "jaggies." Check this image:

Note how the green arrow exhibits an extreme staircase effect.
But the GNU/Linux Nvidia can combat this effect with its FXAA,
or Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing, setting. Check this image
for the result:

Note that the staircase effect is almost completely eliminated.
Also, FXAA seems to have no effect on video performance.
I only have experience with NVidia. Do other GPUs have a similar
anti-aliasing setting?
