    Well, Linux 6 includes performance improvements to ext4 filesystems...
    as much as a 20% speed increase. You might be able to select
    Linux 6.17 in your Mint kernel choices, if that's what you're interested
    in.

    Or...if everything is working fine, just stay with what you have.

    Mint 22.3 went to 6.17. It probably is a relatively rare problem but I
    have a Broadcom wifi chip and the existing driver was not compatible with
    6.17 so the update fell back to 6.14. I was able to update the driver and
    get it working with 6.17.

    That's basically how I look it. It works. I might try the newer kernel, though, just to see if there is any difference. (Not on my main computer.)
