• Core team leader at MXLinux goes by "anticapitalista"

No doubt the GuhNoo slimebucket lives in a capitalist country and enjoys
his material belongings (especially his nose ring and 12 ear studs) paid
    for by hard-working taxpayers.

I was chastised for taking SS checks while being a dissident, never mind
of course that it has to do with this ludicrous second Trump
administration and its warmongering, apparently the proudly Jewish guy
telling me this propaganda is OK with evil, if it helps his people (they
think ...), whereas even three-time Trump voters are now turning on him.

It's not right to conflate dissent with ingratitude for material things.

Yet another reason to think twice or thrice before trying the operating
system out. When you now realize that there is no escaping the
surveillance state and that the people developing for open-source are a majority of Marxists, you're better off sticking to a system that
    actually works for youy.

Okay, not very convincing in this case though. The so-called "capitalism" in this country is not really free enterprise. I'm against it also, but not because I'm a socialist, but because our so-called "capitalism" is really complete control by fewer and fewer of rich at the top of corporate America. Our "elected" politicians are bought and sold.

And, besides that, just because someone doesn't share the same belief as DuFuS, does that mean we pull a Woke style "cancel" on him or her? Aren't people allowed opinions that differ from your own?

You have to look very closely. The core team leader goes by
    anticapitalista.

If DFS dug deeper he might realize MX is derived from the M in the discontinued Mepis distro and the current antiX distro. I put antiX on the 2007 Asus eeePC last week and it's alive and well. Or at least as alive as anything could be on very limited hardware. (4 GB RAM, 600 MHz processor, 800x480 screen.

It's hard to discuss the topic without using Marxist terminology but I'm definitely not a Marxist. There is finance capitalism or the FIRE economy (finance, insurance, and real estate) and industrial capitalism, also
    called productive capitalism.

imnsho, the former is composed of grifters, usurers, speuclators,

The GuhNoo slimebucket referenced in the Subject.

I sent them a nasty-gram about him.  Let's see if they respond.

They won't. They will, however, try to doxx you to ruin the lives of
both you and your family. Hatred is all they know.

I was testing the new Trelby AppImage on all the top 10 distributions on >>> Distrowatch and I was impressed with MX Linux's speed. I'm considering
installing it on a spare computer.

I'm not seeing anything objectionable in the "About Us" link above. What am >>> I missing?

DFS has a document detailing what all these distributions are pushing. I
held onto it for a while, but I've since deleted it (because I don't
plan on installing Linux again). I'm sure he'll jump in and remind us.

I just remember that Endeavour was the only one which didn't push any
kind of woke garbage. OpenMandriva is strictly anti-woke.

I agree with the last part, at the very least. Either way, I won't
criticize capitalism. For all of its flaws, it is still the only system
in which a black bum can turn himself into a wealthy man if he has both
the will and the cleverness. The alternatives do not allow anyone to
    succeed.

And, besides that, just because someone doesn't share the same belief as DuFuS, does that mean we pull a Woke style "cancel" on him or her? Aren't people allowed opinions that differ from your own?

I used to be a lot more open-minded to other beliefs, but I no longer
am. For me, if you're not Christian and you hate Capitalism, I want
nothing to do with you. There are a lot of anti-Christian elements in Microsoft and Apple, but the former company as a whole adheres to
Christian values a lot more than we realize.

You're attacking others' beliefs but you don't even have a sense of your
own, it's ridiculous, you're following Satan. Satanists should stop pretending to be Christian. Christianity is black supremacy.

"Proudly anti-fascist "antiX Magic" in an environment suitable for old and new computers."

    Yeah, same anticapitalista. (Paul Banham)

I installed Windows 11 on one of my "spare" computers to see if I could
figure out a way to get the newest Windows version of Trelby working correctly. I couldn't, so last night I installed MX Linux 25.1 "Infinity" on that computer (the KDE version). I'm still impressed with MX. Not quite as polished as Linux Mint, but it works really well.

It's hard to discuss the topic without using Marxist terminology but I'm definitely not a Marxist. There is finance capitalism or the FIRE economy (finance, insurance, and real estate) and industrial capitalism, also
    called productive capitalism.

imnsho, the former is composed of grifters, usurers, speuclators,
rentiers, and other vermin. A prime example is Soros.

Nothing like making a billion while producing nothing but chaos. Even
worse is using your billions gained through sharp business practices to spread more chaos. If that's capitalism, fuck them all.

    Completely agree.

ADD, where the deficit is in the attention that decent folks are
    paying to the trolling loser.

I see at the above link that MX linux supports both SysV init and
systemd. That should make Fabian happy.

    Choice is good.

Yeah, when I booted into it with the Live USB I used SysV init, but I think when I installed it on the SSD it defaulted to systemd. They say something about that in the manual, I guess I should read it — but it's made clear that you can choose either. (Now that I look there's a "respin" of KDE that uses SysV init that's offered on a separate page.)

criticize capitalism. For all of its flaws, it is still the only system
in which a black bum can turn himself into a wealthy man if he has both
the will and the cleverness. The alternatives do not allow anyone to succeed.

Well, our country was built on free enterprise. Capitalism (to me) has come
to mean huge corporations using government regulations to shut down their competition when it gets big enough to be a threat to them. I remember a
meat packer in Nebraska, Butch Stanko, who made the "mistake" of becoming
too big of a regional company. After he had gotten the some large accounts with the public school system, suddenly the FDA inspectors (embedded in the packing plant all along) "discovered" that Butch Stanko was failing to live
up to the FDA standards. Why these FDA inspectors hadn't noticed this
earlier, BEFORE he got the school accounts is a "mystery" to everyone. This sort of thing happens all the time. The Better Business Bureau was started specifically to regulate smaller regional companies out of business (when
they endangered the favored huge corporations).

So, I'm for free enterprise, but not for whatever this partnership between large corporations and the corrupt government is called. It's really not capitalism, it's cronyism and malignant corruption. When people oppose capitalism, this is what they're usually talking about — at least the ones who aren't out and out communists or socialists.

And, besides that, just because someone doesn't share the same belief as
DuFuS, does that mean we pull a Woke style "cancel" on him or her? Aren't

I don't buy into any of this for these two corporations. There's nothing Christian in either one of them. Christians don't fire their American workforce so they can bring in much cheaper workers from India using work visas (which they "lobby" (buy) the government to give to them.) They don't make the American employees train their Indian replacements.

Greed is not a Christian virtue. Greed is an attribute of users and usurers, and Christian countries used to ban usury. (Incidentally, so did Muslims,
    some still do.)
