    Your Threadripper system probably doesn't even have ECC memory
    installed.

    Why would you say such a thing?

    System76 Thelio Mega workstations are top-of-the-line -- not only
    is the memory ECC, the workstation comes with a _case_.

    (Main memory is ECC, the video memory isn't.)

    Currently, my Xeon W-1270P is on par with the w3-2525:
