    Originally released back in 1999, the developer is now making the game available as a free download. It does require you to download directly
    from his website though (it's not on Steam or GOG or even Epic). You
    do have to provide an email address though (although a free throwaway
    email address works just fine ;-)

    The game itself is a 4X strategy game; it's not great and lacks a lot
    in glitz and polish, but the gameplay is -for a game of its era-
    competent enough.

    I very vaguely remember playing this briefly back when it was new. I
    didn't stick with it long. Maybe I'll give it another chance now.
