Hey Ant - did you upgrade your PC? Empires of the Undergrowth on sale
at steam for $15 right now. Overywhelming Positive reviews. I think I
will get it for that. Looks too complicated for me though. But

I'm not familiar with that particular site, but yeah, it looks as if
their library is all generic stuff now.

It's possible that after the archive.org copyright lawsuit, sites like
this one are taking down copyrighted material rather than depending on
the 'we're just archiving stuff' excuse.

I am sure these links are all Ant will need for his gaming soundtrack
needs but a final option is to find them on Youtube and then just use
an online youtube to mp3 converter if you want them locally.

Also, while it's not the best option, a lot of releases now come with soundtracks available, either included as an extra or (mostly with new
games) as an additional purpose. A lot of the oldies sold on GOG come
with the soundtrack in a variety of formats as part of the collection.

Obviously, this has the downside of

    a) costing money, and
    b) only being available with a select number of
games available on the digital marketplace,

which is limiting. You won't find the .SID files from the C-64 version
    of "Impossible Mission" this way.

But it is an alternative to getting at least some of the music to some
of the games... and one not fraught with potential legal baggage. Not
a great alternative... but one that exists and should be considered if
    the others aren't working out.

    ----

Myself, I already have accumulated so many soundtracks from so many
games, I don't really need any more to add to the collection. Over the
years, I got the ones I'm most interested in, and usually when I find
a new soundtrack I enjoy, its included with the game. So I've only a
cursory interest in the websites mentioned above.

[Is this thread going to lead into another 'favorite
soundtrack from games' discussion, I wonder? ;-)]

    This site:

    uggcf://jjj.uifp.p64.bet/

SidPlay. Done. Impossible Mission just had voice synthesis I think.

Wizardry has a suprisingly good soundtrack that I recommend.
