• Questron II: modern gamers can play Cyclopean

    From phoenix@j63840576@gmail.com to comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.action on Fri Dec 12 11:04:15 2025

Cyclopean is quite a bit like Questron and very recent. Additionally
Cyclopean just won a place on the top 100 Indie games of the year. I'm
going back to recommending this one.

Although it is missing something magical about Questron - in that game
your hit points have no maximum. I inherited a game with 10 million hit
points from the person who lent it to me back in the day.

That's usually the behavior of somebody who is trying to avoid bans,
which is usually the result of somebody not trying to converse in good

    anything you say.

    It's not a good look.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but: the gentleman, though
    he nym-shifts a lot, isn't some ordinary troll-type.

Some folks live a bit on the edge of society, so feel the
need to cover their tracks a bit. He's using pseudonyms
(as I do), and not anonyms, so I don't feel uncomfortable
    with his changes.

This latest one, "phoenix", is actually quite apropos, given
the gentleman's recent history. I hesitate to vouch for
him, but I will say I've always found his writings interesting.

Thank you. I post with such low volume to c.s.i.p.action that these guys
just don't understand me. They basically throttled me through ignoring
