The long-running Skywind project --which is attempting to port/update "Morrowind" to the engine used in "Skyrim" just dropped another update
on their progress; the first since 2024.

What can I say; it looks nice. Of course, it's "looked nice" for the
last two or three updates, even though it is running on an
increasingly aged software. Still, it looks nicer than the original
2002 game.
"Skywind" is just one of a number of similar projects (the other big
one being "Skyblivion" which, as the portmanteau suggests, is
attempting to bring "Elder Scrolls IV" to the Skyrim engine...
although following the recent official remaster I think that project
has fallen on hard times. There's also Tamriel Reborn, which hopes to
rebuild the entire continent of the Elder Scrolls in the Skyrim
engine, including all the areas seen in Arena, Daggerfall, Redfall,
Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim... and more besides. There's obviously
a lot of overlap between these projects too.
But "Skywind" is the one that is closest to completion.
It's not done yet, though, and it's still not available as a playable download... which makes these videos somewhat cruel teases.
"Morrowind" was never my favorite game in the series, but it had some
memorable bits, and it felt different enough from the rest of the
games as to be worth a replay.
But I guess I'm just going to have to wait.
