    <tap tap tap> Is this thing on? I'm honestly not sure. My news-server
    is being janky again. Hopefully this announcement gets out regardless;
    we wouldn't want anyone to miss out on any free games now, would we?

    Well, (based on this week and next week's offerings) it
    looks like Epic is starting to fill out its library with
    old games now rather than go for hot new games. I'm not
    really opposed to that, but starting with Rollercoaster
    Tycoon 3? The one that added all those janky 3D graphics
    over the charming sprites? I guess the game is alright;
    I just think they would have been better served going with
    RCT2.

    A side-scrolling action-platformer 'set in a world of
    cosmic horror!' Visually it doesn't look to bad, but the
    reviews are mixed. It seems an average metroidvania; not
    bad, not great, but probably worth the price of entry.

    The Number goes up by two, at least for me. Will you claim these games
    too? If not, well, there's always next week. See you in seven days!

    (assuming my news-server gets its act together)

    I see your post.

    A weird thing about giganews is they will propagate a post okay, but
    it won't show up on their spool until later (if ever), if they are
    have a certain sort of problem.

    They went the whole weekend like that once. I used to be a news
    admin until we shut down our server, so I was fairly certain what
    the problem was -- but they don't seem to have someone on-call
    over the weekend that can fix problems (or maybe they're too
    afraid to escalate it, I dunno).

    Don't be afraid to open a support ticket. They will answer you,
    usually starting with a script.

    I agree. I would rather have the 2d sprite version. Definitely more
    charming to use your word. I would have actually played that version.
    That is why I bought Tropico 1 and 2 recently. Even if the sequels are
    better games, I like 2d sprites better.

    Also, I have RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition already on Epic.
    I got it for free on Sep 24, 2020. It is one of the earliest games I
    added to my library.
