As the topic area suggest, I have some favorites.. sites that I have designed.

Years ago, I did web design and web hosting for a lot of companies around the world. So that I could help then get noticed, I started a local business Directory website. By placing their site on this Directory, they had great exposure. I even placed Google Ads on the Directory and was making over $1000 a month on the ads alone, in addition to the money my customers were paying me each month.

I figured that if I could make that with one site, I could increase it by creating other Directories. Even though the Google money started to dry out, I ended up with 26 online Directory sites that each have a niche of some kind.

The sites were not Mobile Friendly, so I had to come up with a solution. I used a basic mobile-friendly template that I applied to each of the Directories, and used a script that would detect the type of device, and send it to the folder containing the mobile version.

So what is my favorite website? My main site is:

I guess bootstrap is the way to go these days when creating mobile
sites, but I expect wordpress has some fancy plugins to also deal with
that. One thing about a WP site tho, is you can tell it's a WP site!

The place I used to get massages at were not getting much business so I
created a nice little webpage for them and helped promote the business.

She ended up selling so I should contact the new owners. I could make
it a directory of local massage places and let them buy a position on
the list. More they pay, higher up the list :)


So what happened to the Google ads drying up? They not paying as much
or just not as much traffic, or the ad blockers?
