    Hey all,
It's that time of the year, suns out more often and getting warmer.. we are in Spring. Question- who is planning a vegetable garden this year? and if so, what do you usually plant?

I usually do tomatoes myself. Varying varieties and I try to get the ripen times staggered.

What I don't like is things like pulling weeds, mowing the lawn, etc.. I wouldn't mind trying to grow some vegetables though.

Agreed. Pulling weeds are the worst. In past years, I spent most of the summer just trying to keep the weeds down. Last year I re did the front garden and put plastic down and fabric. Hopefully my efforts will be shown this year. Mowing the lawn takes no time and I do trimming every now again. It's probably cheaper to buy veggies in the store but theres something to be said about home grown.

Don't forget that growing vegetables, you still have to pull weeds. ;)

Yep.. Though I've heard of people growing vegetables in their own buckets, separate from the rest of the yard, and I wonder if that could help at all.

Ha nope. You still get weeds in the buckets. I had tried this a number of years ago. Sadly my backyard is shaded with two trees. I abandoned doing this and opted for a strip of land that holds 3 tomato plants.. and that's where things are at. So far they are growing away.
